Balancing study with a love for dance and a blooming modelling career, Sheridan said she was relieved on finding out her score and shocked to discover she was dux.
"I was a bit surprised, but really relieved that the wait was finally over," she said.
"I was hoping to do a little better, but I am still really happy with my score."
Sheridan studied Chemistry, Maths Methods, English, Biology, Health and Human Development and Psychology.
Her strongest and favourite subject areas were English and Psychology.
"I dedicated a lot of time to study, I didn't work and lessened my hours of dance," she said.
"I really want to thank my mum and dad for being supportive of me and Mr Crowley and all the teachers at Marian College for their help along the way," she said.
Sheridan now waits to discover if she will be accepted into her preferred university course. She hopes her score is good enough to guarantee she can study either physiotherapy or osteopathy in Melbourne next year.
Outgoing Marian College principal, John Crowley said he was proud of Sheridan and the Year 12 cohort as a whole.
"I am very proud of Sheridan, she has worked extremely hard and been a model student throughout the entirety of her studies," she said.
"I am also proud of the whole cohort of year 12 students, their performance was exemplary in every way."
Mr Crowley said there is always room for improvement, but moved to reassure students disappointed by final results that it isn't the end of the world.
"Students need to keep in mind regardless of their score, there are still many ways to achieve entry into their desired courses," he said.
Mr Crowley said he was also proud of students studying Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL).
"I am really proud of our VCAL students who have achieved their senior VCAL certificate, they should now be equipped with the skills to find work in a trade or local employment."
