BROOKFIELD Multiplex, the global contracting company currently constructing the larger Hopkins Corrections Centre has donated $10,000 for surgical equipment at East Grampians Health Service.

The funds will contribute to the purchase of a vital, specialised telescope/camera which will improve the surgeon's ability to undertake abdominal key-hole surgery. The all-in-one design with an anti-fog device built in ensures ease of use and an improved picture during the surgery.
Amy Pitchford, project manager at Brookfield Multiplex, who is responsible for the Hopkins Correction Centre building works, said she was delighted to support the East Grampians Health Service Auxiliary and Brookfield Multiplex strives to find ways to support the local community in which they work.
East Grampians Health Service Perioperative Services Manager, Jane Smith was also delighted with the donation.
"We are very pleased with the recent addition to our surgical equipment because of the improved vision and easy to use design of this telescope/camera is critical for our surgeons," she said.
"We are very grateful for financial support from our community enabling us to purchase the most up to date surgical equipment."
East Grampians Health Service Auxiliary president, Margie Kilpatrick was thrilled with the donation from Brookfield Multiplex and said it was wonderful to have support from a multinational company supporting the Ararat community.
