Over the years Clayfield Wines shiraz has received many awards in major wine competitions, the 2004 Shiraz was selected in the Judges Top Ten in Winestate Magazine World's Greatest Shiraz Challenge III in 2008 earning 5 stars and topping the category, last year the 2010 vintage received high acclaim and most recently the 2002 Shiraz again earned five stars in Winestate Magazine World's Greatest Shiraz Challenge IX scoring equal points with Australia's most iconic Shiraz, Penfolds Grange.

Consistent quality is not just about winemaking with attention to detail it is vitally important to grow the best quality grapes possible as the Grampians region offers an ideal climate for producing fine Shirazes which exhibit spicy varietal character and have the ability to cellar for many years.

You can join Clayfield Wines this Sunday, December 21 from 10am until 6pm for the inaugural 'Pop-Up' cellar door tasting on the deck at the Moyston General Store.

Wines will be available by the glass, enjoy them with a cheese platter at fair prices.
