Youth Club failed to chase down Buangor's respectable score of 176 runs.

After resuming at 17 without loss and in prime position with all day to bat, it took no time for the Clubbers' scorecard to take a turn for the worst.

Youth Club had several players who were able to make a solid start however there was no batsman who was able to go on with it.

Jamie Solyom was the leading Youth Club scorer with 20 runs, closely followed by Pete Barnett with 19 and Matt Dawson on 16.

Buangor's bowlers were on target for the majority of the innings, with six of its wickets coming from leg before wicket or clean bowled.

Ben Hargreaves was the best performed with 5/16 off his 11 overs.

Jack and Harry Ganley combined for 34 overs and five wickets to clean up the rest of the batsmen.

After trailing by 112 runs at the conclusion of the first innings, Chally were faced with a difficult day two challenge.

The team was able to hold onto their wickets for a decent amount of time, however the runs were few and far between.

Jamie Bach was a good option for Combine captain Marc Brilliant, as he held down one end and conceded very few runs.

Bach bowled 19 overs in tough conditions managing nine maidens and 1/26.

Swifts/Great Western tried plenty of options to dismiss Chalambar and variety was the key with seven wicket takers for the day.

Chally slowly chipped away at the deficit and for a brief amount of time led by 11 runs, however it took just four overs for Swifts/Great Western to record the outright win and take home maximum points.

Aradale would have been slightly uneasy with its start on day two of the clash against Tatyoon, losing two quick wickets for nine runs after being two down during the week.

Riley Taylor and Andrew Wood were dismissed early adding to Aradale's problems as the side sat at 4/33.

Wicketkeeper Riley Wood made his way to the middle to join opening batsman Travis Horvatek and together the pair worked to regain some control of the innings.

With a partnership of 64 runs Aradale had got things back on track and could breathe a sigh of relief, with Taty's bowlers having no answers.

Horvatek eventually departed on 50, leaving Wood to pick up the slack.

Wood also made his way to a half century and then went out not long after on 55 runs.

The lower order all made valuable contributions as they passed Tatyoon's first innings score of 188 on their way to 202 runs to take the points.

Reigning premier Tatyoon has recorded just one win for the year so far and looks set to miss finals for the first time in many seasons.

Sean Mantel was unbeaten on 121 as Halls Gap lost to St Andrews in the B grade division.
