Aradale finished play in a commanding position against strugglers Chalambar after attacking from the outset of Saturday's match at Alexandra Oval.
After skipper Josh Bywaters won the toss and elected to bat, Chally was in trouble early with opener Aaron Jenkins (19) the only batsman in the top order to manage double figures.
Sam Pilgrim (39) at number seven was able to offer some resistance as well, however the team was no match for the pace attack of Matt Stasse and Matt Baldock.
The two quicks claimed four wickets each as Chalambar was skittled for the modest total of 110.
The Dalers wasted no time putting the runs on the board with Mitch Wood (33) and Travis Horvatek (29) forming an opening partnership of 44.
Later in the day Cameron Ralph chipped in with a knock of 23 before being dismissed right on stumps, which sees Aradale positioned at 4/101 nine runs short of first innings points.
Pomonal failed to live up to its form from the previous fortnight as the Tigers were smashed around the park by Buangor.
Buangor was eventually all out for 261 following a brilliant innings of 75 from Jack Ganley.
In the absence of his brother Harry, Jack stood up and controlled the top order.
After losing the quick wicket of Liam Jess, Ganley was forced into the action earlier than he would have liked.
It didn't phase the all-rounder however, and together with opener Shaun Allen, the pair steadied the ship.
Allen took a back seat in the partnership, allowing Ganley to swing freely at the other end.
Ganley was the first of the two to go as he came down the wicket and was stumped off Simon Donker's bowling, while Allen followed a little while after on 65.
Nathan Hargreaves, Ben Harrison and Liam Baker all made handy contributions in the middle order as the total passed 200.
Adnan Rasheed took five wickets for Pomonal, but it was expensive going (70 runs).
Pomonal wasn't much better with the bat, as just two players reached scores in the double figures.
With 212 runs to make up and only one wicket in hand the side is in real danger of an outright loss.
Unlike Chalambar and Pomonal, Youth Club enjoyed a full day at the crease and finds itself in prime position against Tatyoon.
Taty captain Jarrod Blandford won the toss and elected to bowl, sending Youth Club openers Steve LeGassick and Robert Scott to the middle.
The Clubbers were able to get a good start making 40 runs without loss before LeGassick was clean bowled for 13.
The wicket made way for Koby Stewart who has been in good form of late. Stewart and Scott took their time settling into a third wicket stand before Scott was dismissed for 31.
The wickets of Ethan Marrow and Matt Dawson followed on quickly and at 4/74 Tatyoon had the game back in the balance.
Stewart continued to control one end of the crease, however his partners were struggling to occupy strike for any length of time, until Paul Antonio took guard.
Antonio made his way to the centre at 5/92 and was able to add a quick fire 41, with the partnership providing Youth Club with 85 runs, holding the side in good stead before the tail end was needed.
Stewart raised his bat at 50 and went on to an unbeaten 83.
The Clubbers eventually finished at 8/238, giving their bowlers plenty to defend when Tatyoon bats this weekend.
