The Combine suffered a surprise loss to Buangor last weekend, mainly at the hands of brothers Jack and Harry Ganley.
Craig Marrow was the shining light for the Combine with his knock of 81 not out.
It was the second consecutive week Marrow has performed with the bat after coming in at number four in round one and making a quickfire 36.
While Pomonal's bowling attack doesn't have the potency of Tatyoon or Buangor, Swifts/Great Western's top order will want to get their eye in early and spend some time out in the middle.
For Pomonal Jon Pollock was strong in their loss against Aradale leading the way with 38 runs.
While the bowling attack didn't perform too badly against Aradale a couple of cheap wickets proved to be their undoing.
Two run outs following a mix up at the crease meant Rick Oliver returned to the sheds on eight and Matt Grinham with nine.
The Combine and Pomonal will play at the Great Western Recreation Reserve where the ground is much smaller than what most clubs are used to.
It will be a tough day for either team if they let the opposition settle at the crease and boundaries could become increasingly easy.
Chalambar's introduction into the A grade competition doesn't get any easier when they take on Buangor at Alexandra Oval tomorrow.
Chalambar put up a decent fight against the reigning premiers, but it took Tatyoon just 27.5 overs to reach the required score.
Luke Walker was on target with the ball taking an impressive seven wickets for 32 runs, but each of the Chalambar bowlers went through stages where they were too expensive.
For Chalambar to be competitive tomorrow they will need to produce some solid partnerships at the top while facing a white hot Jack Ganley.
Both Harry and Jack Ganley are coming off half centuries against the Combine and will be looking to impose themselves on a vulnerable Chalambar.
Along with the Ganley brothers, Ben Hargreaves adds some variety to Buangor's bowling attack and may send the bails flying if Chalambar aren't careful.
Aradale and Youth Club are the only teams not to have lost so far this season with Aradale defeating Buangor in round one and Pomonal in round two.
Youth Club have also defeated Pomonal, but their other six points come from the bye.
Youth Club's Ethan Marrow played in the C grade division last week and got his confidence up with a knock of 106 and will look to take that form into tomorrow's game.
Matt Stasse has been Aradale's most exciting player in the opening two rounds with both bat and ball.
Stasse took no wickets in the most recent game, but he was still economical and helped Aradale to victory.
Youth Club will play Aradale on the turf at Central Park tomorrow in what will be a real test for both teams.
