CROWLANDS made a top start to the new Ararat and District Tennis Association season with a resounding victory against Landsborough West on Saturday.

Crowlands was dominant in both the men's and ladies' sections before finishing it off when the two mixed to score the win 10 points and 108 games to 0 points and 26 games.
Father and son combination Keith and Ben Boatman were the stand out men, downing Matt Ratovic and Brady Walsh 9-0, while Keith also held his opponent scoreless in the mixed doubles with partner Kate Vance.
In was also a one sided affair in the clash between Elmhurst and Buangor, with Elmhurst taking honours 10 points and 103 games to 0, 58.
Josh Matthews and Ben Hartwich got Buangor off to a solid start, with a 9-8 win against Ash Cooper and Matt Haddow in the opening clash, but it was short lived as Elmhurst went on to dominate.
Katie Sanford and Gem Rameka also provided a highlight for Buangor with a triumph in the ladies' section, however their team was no match for the power of Haddow and Georgia Odie, who led the way for the victors.
Reigning premier Ararat also produced a strong performance to down Landsborough in the final match of round one.
