Chalambar has been the standout performer of the B grade competition for the past two seasons, but will the side have what it takes against the league's best?
Taty are coming off what was a bit of a shock loss to Swifts/Great Western last weekend, but are expected to regain some key players for this one day contest.
The side will be bolstered by a number of inclusions including Tim McDougall, Ash Maconachie and new recruits John Butler and Mitch Cronin
After sitting the first round out courtesy of the bye, Chalambar will be eager to get its 2014/15 campaign off on a winning note, particularly on the team's home ground at Richardson Oval.
If Chally is to achieve that Josh Bywater, Aaron Jenkins and Ash Leggett will need to be at the top off their game, however with a near full strength Tatyoon team an upset victory appears unlikely.
Swifts/Great Western will attempt to make it two wins in a row this weekend when it takes on Buangor.
The Combine will also go into the match having regained players following post season football trips.
Swifts/Great Western had a good hit out against Tatyoon in the opening round and claimed bragging rights for the first time in four matches.
The side did so on the back of a stellar first innings from Sam Cocks, who formed an early partnership with James Devery and then proceeded without him to make a quick fire 51.
Craig Marrow also impressed with 36 runs further down the order.
Buangor on the other hand is licking its wounds after struggling to defend its total of 105 against Aradale in the short Twenty/20 format.
The side was well led by captain Harry Ganley who got the innings away to a solid start with a score of 38.
Shaun Allen (45) also contributed with the bat, however Buangor's other top order batsmen Chris Jerram and Jack and Paul Ganley will need to show more if they are to be competitive tomorrow.
The Buangor and Swifts/Great Western match is scheduled to play at Alexandra Oval, however the turf wicket was under done last weekend and could again be in a similar condition for round two. If that is the case the game will be transferred to Buangor for a second week.
Aradale will take on Pomonal in a game the Dalers are expected to win and if Matt Stasse can produce something similar to his 2/7 bowling figures from last week that will go a long way to the team's success.
Stasse also had his eye in with the bat smashing an unbeaten knock of 49, while good support came from Brent Tate and Mitch Wood.
Pomonal struggled in the opening round against a new look Youth Club line up and the Tigers will be hopeful they can put in more of a competitive performance this time around.
Lyndon Brown and Jonathon Pollock will want to improve on their opening partnership of just 28 to ensure that Pomonal gets off to a good start to give the bowlers something to defend.
It will be the second game in a row Pomonal has played on the turf wicket at Central Park.
In B grade, St Andrews is shaping up as the team to beat after an emphatic display in the opening clash of the season.
After Pomonal won the toss and elected to bat, the Saints’ bowlers led by James Laidlaw (2/4), Brady Miller (2/9) and Xavier Vearing (2/10), ripped through the Tigers’ batsmen to see them post an innings score of just 59.
Opening pair Stephen Phillips (48) and Brayden Ferguson (23) had little trouble reaching the total in the sixth over.
Other winners were Rhymney/Moyston and Navarre.
The GCA executive will be hoping the C grade competition has better luck in round two, after all three matches were abandoned last weekend due to team forfeits.
This weekend also sees the under-16 division commence its season on Saturday, followed by the under 13s on Sunday.
