The Bendigo Bank conducted a campaign called 'more than a token gesture' and for every insurance policy sold at the branch, customers were then able to choose one of three not for profit organisations in the Wimmera to support, by placing a token in the box. Grampians Community Health was one of the nominated organisations chosen by the Bendigo Bank staff in the Wimmera area.
Jill Miller the CEO of Grampians Community Health was delighted by the donation and said the funds would be put towards pamper packs for women and children who have been put into safe housing due to family violence.
These pamper packs offer some much needed comfort in a time of distress and anguish.
With family violence being such a wide spread problem in the region the Bendigo bank is very happy to be helping support such a worthwhile cause and raising awareness of such an important issue within the community.
