The beautiful quilt was won by Ararat resident Barkley Vincent, who was thrilled to receive such a prize and thinks it will probably hang in pride of place on his lounge room wall.
The handover of the $1,800 raised took place at the Willaura and District Kindergarten, where Jacob is a student.
His kinder friends were intrigued to see and touch the whimsical quilt, which features appliqu ed creatures they could point out and name.
Jacob enjoys his time at the Willaura Kindergarten, where he has benefited from the smaller numbers and a curriculum that is tailored to each child's individual needs and development.
He and his fellow students also take pleasure in its spacious grounds and inviting indoor play and learning areas.
The kindergarten is noted for its enthusiastic and caring personnel, its belief in the value of each individual and its excellence in relationships with families and the community.
Jacob's mother Sarah said her family wished to thank the whole community for their support and generosity.
Jacob's new wheelchair has now been purchased and he and his family are very much enjoying the mobility it gives him.
