The meeting was well attended by local regional councils, councillors and small business owners and operators.
The meeting was chaired by the Ministerial Council Chairman and 3AW Radio personality, David Mann and included a question and answer session with the Minister for Small Business, Russell Northe.
Special guest, Hugh Delahunty Member for Lowan, was also present at the meeting which addressed key issues affecting small business in the region.
Ararat Rural City was well represented with the Mayor, Cr Paul Hooper and the new Ararat Regional Business Association president, Graeme Foster, both giving their opinions and feedback to the ministers and the 23 members of the Small Business Ministerial Council delegation.
Award winning baker, Chris Waack also gave a presentation on his business and the challenges faced by small businesses across the region.
Ararat Rural City Mayor Cr Paul Hooper said it was a great opportunity to have access to the Minister and Small Business Council and voice particular issues that face regional businesses in general but the region specifically.
