The $50,000 fund opens today.
Pacific Hydro's executive general manager for Australia, Mr Lane Crockett, is encouraging eligible community groups to submit an application before September 23, 2014.
"The Fund is designed to support a wide range of initiatives and all local community groups and organisations who require funding should consider applying," Mr Crockett said.
Applications are accepted across five funding areas: education and training, health and welfare, sport and recreation, the environment, and arts and culture.
To assist community groups in submitting grant applications, Pacific Hydro and Ararat Rural CityCouncil are hosting a drop-in information session at Chalambar Golf Club on Friday 15 August from 11.00am - 2.00pm.
"The drop-in information session provides an opportunity for community groups to ensure they are submitting the best possible application," Mr Crockett said.
If your community group is working on a project that supports local sustainability and you're looking for funding, why not download an application form and the Fund guidelines by visiting Pacific Hydro's website pacifichydro.com.au, contact Remi Gordon on 03 8621 6478, community@pacifichydro.com.au or on August 15, at Chalambar Golf Club.
Applications must be received by 5pm on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 to be considered in this year's round of funding.
RSVPs are not essential, but those interested are welcome to contact Remi on 03 8621 6478 orcommunity@pacifichydro.com.au for more information.
