The Biggest Loser contestant and self appointed smile ambassador is known for her cheery outlook and positive attitude.
Despite completing her stint on TV, Sharon's positive attitude is continuing to inspire people around Australia and even across the world.
Sharon's Smile Campaign began with a single card bearing the words 'Smile #1' on it and now numbers more than 270, with at least double that amount of people part of the campaign due to its 'pay it forward' nature.
The Smile Campaign involves obtaining a numbered smile card from Sharon, or receiving one from someone who is already part of the program, taking a photo of yourself (if you wish) with the card and uploading it to her Facebook page, before passing the card on to someone else, who in turn follows the same procedure, spreading the smiles as they go.
With the help of photographer Liam Lavery, Sharon began her campaign a month ago by taking a walk down Barkly Street in Ararat and handing out the smile cards to everyone she met, with Liam capturing the moments, and the smiles have spread like wildfire ever since.
Sharon believes there is so much focus on negative behaviours these days that she just wanted to spread some positivity around.
"The whole point of the smile campaign is to get people to spread that positivity to others," she said.
"Sometimes someone can be having such a bad day that a simple smile can really help."
Sharon has been joined on this miles of smiles campaign by her children, and they too are excited about spreading the cheer.
"I want to teach my children to live life happy. Even if this campaign only helps a couple of people to feel better about themselves then that's fine. But the response we are getting with it is really overwhelming, it makes me really happy to think everyone is embracing the smile numbers and are starting to share that feeling around to others."
The smiles are certainly spreading around the globe with smile card number 144 posted from the Eiffel Tower in Paris courtesy of Ellie Price and Alyssa Hart, while Sharon has also received requests from New Zealand and the United Kingdom for smile cards.
To join the campaign, go to the Facebook page Team Sharon -The Biggest Loser Australia 2014 to find out how to get a card.
"I really believe that there is no point at always looking for the negatives in everything or everyone, find the positives instead," Sharon said.
"Feel free to get involved everyone, smiles are contagious!"
