The 'Big Bearded Chop Off' will be the main event of the charity night to be held at the Tatyoon Hall on Saturday, August 16 from 7pm.
Tatyoon coach Blandford said all proceeds from the night will go towards the RCH.
"Recently in the last 18 months to two years there seems to have been a fair few kids in the local district that have spent time down in the Royal Children's Hospital," he said.
"We all thought we'd just start growing a beard and at first we were just going to try and get some money off our mates to go towards the hospital, but then we thought we'd do it properly and turn it into a charity night, have a good function and try and raise as much money as we can."
The night will feature an auction with items including signed Richmond Football Club memorabilia, a signed Glenn McGrath cricket ball and a signed Cameron White shirt.
Blandford said all food on the night has been donated by local farmers, with the $50 ticket to include a delicious two course meal.
"It is going to be a fun night. We've got some really good auction items and we are still waiting to hear back on a few more as well," he said.
"We will also have a raffle going on the night with the first prize to that being a hamper with donated goods from businesses in Ararat and surrounding areas."
While the three Hawks haven't decided who will get the honour of shaving the beards, there is plenty of debate as to who currently has the best facial hair.
Blandford joked apart from himself, Tim Barr has the most impressive beard of the three.
"Tim's is very Osama Bin Laden looking!" he said.
"I've grown fond of my beard, but the wife will certainly be happy to see the end of it."
