Williams finished the match despite the injury. If Williams' return is in line with the club's diagnosis, the rugby-bound forward will return to action when the Roosters face Melbourne at Allianz Stadium in round 25. That would leave him just two weeks to prepare for the finals.
Williams' expected absence means surgery is not required.
In a further blow for the Roosters, Mitchell Aubusson will miss one to two games with a high ankle sprain.
The club is sweating on the return of NSW centre Michael Jennings for their clash against St George Illawarra on Saturday.
