The lowest temperature recorded in the last 10 days was on July 13 when the gauge dipped below freezing to -0.5 degrees, while the highest temperature during the day was a 'sizzling' 12.5 degrees last Wednesday.
The wind chill factor has also meant that the days have felt much colder and when the sun made an appearance it made little difference to the temperature.
Thursday felt like the coldest, with the temperature only ranging 4.2 degrees, from 5 during the night to 9.2 during the day and hail, sleet and snow falling across the region.
The weather this week doesn't look to be much warmer, with a frost expected today and then showers forecast later in the week, which will add to this month's total of 55.1 millimetres.
