THE Warrior-Day family, and in particular son Jacob, received a welcome surprise from the Ararat Y's Men and Y's Menettes at a recent social event.

The family were invited to attend a social night with the club members and were presented with a cheque for $1000 which will assist the family in purchasing a wheel chair for Jacob, who has cerebral palsy. The family are in need of a wheel chair as Jacob is outgrowing his pram, however, the $8000 cost of the new wheel chair is prohibitive, with a fund set up to raise money for the purchase of a new chair.
Secretary of the club Marlene Perry said it was great to see such a happy little boy and his family members enjoy the night.
