The Rover Dream project will be in memory of the late Greg Coone, whose dream of participating in the Adelaide to Darwin Veteran Rally on an historic 1912 Rover will be taken up by his wife Deidre and daughters Jodie Thompson and Amanda Mahncke this year, to raise funds for the East Grampians Health Service through the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation.

A Poker Run is playing a game of cards with five stops on the way to the Logan Pub with $500 prize money for the best hand.

The Poker Run will leave the Brass Balls Motorcycle shop in Barkly Street at 10am on Saturday and end at the Logan Pub in St Arnaud where bands The Spatts and Plymouth Reverends will entertain. The Plymouth Reverend will also launch their CD on the day.

Mark Bond from Brass Balls Motorcycles was close friends with Greg Coone and hopes the Poker run will raise valuable funds, in his memory, for the Rover Dream project.

"I wanted to do a fundraiser to help the Rover Dream Project and all the money also goes to the Ararat Hospital," Mr Bond said.

"And it also gets motor bikes and cars out and about at the same time."

Anyone is welcome to participate in the Poker Run, bikes and cars are all welcome. The Poker Run will commence at 10am on Saturday. Camping and meals are available at the pub.
