Weather:

Expect a shower or two developing today, particularly in the morning. We should reach a top of 13 degrees today. It will be a wet weekend too, with isolated showers forecast on both Saturday and Sunday.

What's on Today:

After years of funding applications, planning and construction Marian College will finally open its new State of the Art $1.2 million Trade Training Centre offering university standard facilities to students in the areas of Laboratory Skills and Food and Wine Processing. Dan Tehan will oversee the official proceedings from 11am.

Chookas to all involved in the Ararat Musical Comedy Society’s production of The Witches of Eastwick, which will open at the Ararat Performing Arts Centre tonight at 8pm. Shows will also be held on Saturday June 21 at 8pm, Sunday June 22 at 2pm (matinee), Friday June 27 at 8pm and Saturday June 28 at 8pm. Trains:

V/Line will be conducting essential night works in Buangor from 8pm-6am each night from June 17 through to June 24. The work includes surfacing and replacing sleepers and ballast. Some delays expected. See V/Line website for further details.
