The lucky winner Charlotte McAdams, from Hamilton, will have her dream cubby house, worth $2500 built by GJ Gardner Homes Ararat.
Charlotte was one of 196 children, who submitted a 25-word explanation of their dream cubby house, as well as an impressive drawing of what they thought it would look like once built.
Submissions were judged by G J Gardner Ararat franchisees Ashley and Sally Heard and Ararat West Primary School principal, Terry Kellar, who are excited to see the new design come to fruition.
"The competition is a great way to spread the joy of bringing a personal design to life, especially for children of the area," Ms Heard said.
"Charlotte stated in her submission that she wanted to share it with her friends, which is in the spirit of the G J Gardner community that have been so supportive of us over the past five years."
The final decision was based on the 'Colourful Simplistic Design', which flowed through with her selfless written description.
"It was really great to see the quality of designs coming from children aged only four to ten years old. We can definitely see the next generation of architects shining through, and we're looking forward to seeing more come from Charlotte in the future," Mr Keilar said.
