The Pumas took to the court ready to fire and didn't stop until the final whistle was blown, running out convincing winners 42 to 19.
The Magpies were no match for a strong Moyston/Willaura outfit and obviously found the going tough with a number of new players taking the court.
Defenders Katy Jewell and Jess Higgins were named best for the Pumas, while Kimberley Thom and Samantha Keilar tried hard for the Magpies all day.
It was a closely contested match between SM&W Rovers and Caramut, where there was barely more than five goals in it the entire game.
Rovers eventually ran away with the 11 goal win in the last quarter, with best players Jo Read and Liz Williams standing strong until the end.
Martha Densley and Jenna Barr worked hard for the visitors.
It was another even game when Tatyoon clashed with the Ararat Eagles, with the Hawks just holding on to win the match 45 to 41.
Ellie McDougall and Sarah Kinnersley were strong contributors for the home team, while Ararat's Sarah West and Erin Hinchliffe both played consistent four quarters.
Glenthompson/Dunkeld was too strong from the outset against Great Western and outplayed the Lions all over the court to claim victory by 35 goals, 53 to 18.
Sarah Alderman and Laura Pyke were named the Rams' best.
