Seven players from the Kangaroos including Shaun Atley, Ryan Bastinac, Ben Cunningham and Ben Jacobs took time out of their busy pre-season schedule to host a football clinic at Alexandra Oval.
The talented septet showcased their ability for 42 grade five and six students from St Mary's Primary School and children in grades three to six from Ararat 800.
Players each introduced themselves and their playing on the field before the children were divided into groups and eight different rotations that aimed to show them the football and the skills to play the game.
This included hand balling, goal kicking, tackling, marking skills, target kicking, dodging through an inflatable obstacle, jumping up to take marks and kick-to-kick
The educational and informative clinic finished with a question and answer session.
Teachers praised the students with both boys and girls from each school getting into the spirit of the event.
Just as important to the fans as the on field talents are the off field abilities and a couple of players took time out to discuss leadership traits with up and coming and current student leaders at Marian College.
The visit by players from the North Melbourne Football Club came just a week out from its round one AFL match against the Essendon Bombers.
