Kathy Mendis brings to the role many years' experience in community development work.
Neighbourhood houses are a great place to meet people, learn new things and participate in local community life. They are often the heart of a community and the door is open to people of all walks of life.
Currently the Neighbourhood House offers a range of programs such as computer courses and leisure activities including art and knitting groups.
It is Ms Mendis' role to expand the current program and so she would like to hear from all community members, with suggestions and ideas for courses and activities most welcome.
