The muscle machines made the biennial pilgrimage to Ararat in a weekend hosted by Ararat's Mick and Pauline Johnston, self confessed car lovers who have a fantastic museum of Ford memorabilia on their property.
Mrs Johnston said the GT owners thoroughly enjoyed the weekend run to Ararat, which included a street display in Barkly Street, an afternoon spent at their property, an evening social event and a Sunday morning run to Willaura for a barbecue lunch.
"The highlight was seeing how busy the main street was this year, the locals and non locals that came to look at the cars," she said.
"It was fantastic to see the street full of locals waiting for the cars to arrive."
The winner of the best GT of the weekend was Michael Bailey with his 1972 XA GT Yellowfire, who was visiting Ararat for the first time.
The next Ford GT run to Ararat will be held on the Australia Day weekend in 2016.
