Students participated in tap, jazz, classical, contemporary, pointe, cheerleading, limber, Zumba, barre attack and swimming and gymnastics at the YMCA.
Ararat Dance Centre invited three guest teachers to take the classes in various styles.
Stacey Clarke from Ballarat, who is known to the children from eisteddfods, shared her classical and contemporary knowledge, giving them tips and tricks for better ballet technique.
Stacey is a regular performer at the Ararat Eisteddfod and has recently completed her Cecchetti ballet training.
Winston Morrison from Melbourne Tap took junior and senior classes for street tap and also an adult class.
His very relaxed style and incredible skills challenged the students both young and old. Winston has performed around the world and has also appeared on Australia's Got Talent.
Toni Storey from Melbourne has years of experience in dance having studied at the Victorian College of the Arts as a youngster, performed on cruise ships and run her own dance school. Students were treated to her high energy teaching in Zumba and cheerleading as well as her commercial jazz and contemporary styles.
Students had a wonderful time learning a variety of styles and found some muscles that had been resting!
In October Amy Harris, who performs with the Australian Ballet and is formerly from Ararat, came to take the students for ballet workshops, which they thoroughly enjoyed.
