ARARAT - Ararat Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the theft of a motorcycle from an Ararat property last week.

The motorcycle was stolen from the front of a private property in Lambert Street some time between 9.30pm on Monday, December 23 and 8am on December, 24.
The motorcycle is a blue and white Suzuki GSX650, with the registration 1B4YL. It is valued at approximately $5000 and other noticeable characteristics include a black seat and Suzuki stickers on the rims.
The motorcycle was locked and parked on the nature strip at the property.
If anyone has any information regarding the incident they are asked to contact constable Peter Brown at the Ararat Police Station on 5355 1500.
Ararat Police are also investigating the theft of a BMX bike.
The white Pilgrim Civilian BMX bicycle was stolen between 4.30pm on Christmas eve and 1.30pm on Christmas Day from the front verandah of a house in Churchill Ave Ararat.
