A constant flow of people of all ages lined the street to get their glimpse of Santa between 8pm and 10.30pm.
"It was like Bourke Street, all of the kids were loving it, it was phenomenal," Kelli Curran said.
Santa had plenty of help including from elves James and Harry Curran and Tom Louder who were on hand to assist giving away lollies and treats
Mrs Curran said the same amount of interest was shown Christmas Eve last week as two decades ago when Ben Duffin first took to the roofl.
"People came to listen to Santa, but then once he got down from the roof they were still coming by until midnight to look at the lights," she said.
With such positive feedback Mrs Curran said plans were already in place to make sure Santa dropped in again next Christmas.
