A St Mary's Primary School student, Caitlin chose the school's fete as the venue for her big haircut, with her long locks set to become a wig, which will be used gratefully by someone who is undergoing cancer treatment.
Caitlin raised more than $900 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation while her hair has been donated to 'Beautiful Lengths', an organisation which makes wigs for women for cancer.
While a little nervous about getting her hair cut, Caitlin was a trouper and together with the support of her family and school, she underwent the 'chop' to the cheers of her friends.
