Experts rate the runners
TRAINER TONY McEVOY
ENDLESS SHADOW (Race 2, No. 6) Excellent run last start and it was much better than it reads. The track was very biased last time and she ran some great sectionals. Crying out for the mile and is a chance.
RAKI (Race 3, No. 8) All he can do is stay. Back in form last start in a pretty lowly race, this is tougher but not without a chance at odds.
ASSERTIVE EAGLE (Race 4, No.8) She is going very well but just hasn't had any luck at her last couple of starts. She's a quality mare and goes well at this track and trip.
POTICHE (Race 4, No. 18) Hoping she gets a start. Scratched from a winnable race in Adelaide to run here. Her sectionals last start were very good and I'm hopeful she can pick up some black type.
ICONIC (Race 5, No. 2) He just wouldn't settle last time and maybe he's not a 1200m horse. I've freshened him and he drops back to the 1000m. I think he is really well placed.
BRING A RING (Race 6, No. 2) She blew it at the start at Flemington two runs back but ran home really strongly. She just wasn't in the mood last start. I'm taking her on trust but she has the ability and the 1400m suits.
PELICANO (Race 8, No. 2) He fretted when I took him to Sydney but thrived once home again. He was really super when winning the Murray Bridge Cup and if he runs up to that form he'll be in the mix.
SWIPELINE (Race 10, No. 15) I've always had a bit of time for him. He's been impressive when I've dropped him down in class at his last couple and hopefully he can prove to me what I think he can do on Tuesday.
JOCKEY CHAD SCHOFIELD
KRISTOFFERSON (Race 1, No. 7) Half-sister to Fast 'N' Rocking and a very professional filly, she is only small but has good speed. If she does everything right she should be around the finish.
WHY NOT (Race 3, No. 11) I don't think he ran the trip last start. His run two starts back was pretty good. Hopefully I'll be able to ride him a bit quieter and he will be able to finish it off better.
CATERED (Race 4, No. 15) She's probably ready to go up to the 1400m but she has struck a strong race. She gets a nice smother from barrier one and has a good turn of foot.
SELECTIFY (Race 5, No. 12) He's a very nice horse and the form from last start has held up well. Never been down the straight but is a big- actioned horse.
BULBULA (Race 6, No. 1) She wasn't far away last start and has drawn barrier one. She should get every chance.
RUSCELLO (Race 7, No. 24) His win on Saturday was very brave. He has drawn wide which won't help us but he comes in with a lovely weight and has good tactical speed.
AULD BURNS (Race 8, No. 8) He's getting up to his right trip now. I've been very happy with both his runs this campaign and I would not be surprised to see him in the finish.
THE PEAK (Race 9, No. 16) He had very good form in Hong Kong and his last start at Moonee Valley was just a ''forget'' run when trapped wide. He could be an improver.
BRADMAN (Race 10, No. 13) He ran well enough first up. He will be fitter for that effort and is a Bendigo Guineas winner so he can run well.
TRAINER MIKE MORONEY
CRIMSON LADY (Race 2, No. 15) Her two runs this time in have been luckless. It's a pretty strong race but we are chasing some big black type.
SPITFIRE LADY (Race 4, No. 9) Drawn nicely and her two runs this preparation have been really good. She's drawn well and I think will go pretty well.
VOLEUSE DE COEURS (Race 7, No.17 ) Really happy with her and she has ticked all the boxes. We've won a Cup from a wide gate before (with Brew) and she should run very well with any luck.
