ARARAT - Hundreds of people packed the Ararat YMCA a fortnight ago for the filming of The Biggest Loser finale.
The night celebrated the achievements of the contestants who participated in season nine of the hit weight-loss television program as well as acknowledging the incredible health transformation of the town.
Executive producer of The Biggest Loser Stuart Clark said about 900 people attended the gala event.
"The finale to the series was an outstanding success. The townsfolk of Ararat were magnificent with their support and went to extraordinary lengths to make this event one of the most memorable we've ever had," he said.
"The whole town dressed up and looked amazing! It was like going to the Logies - all the ladies looked so glamorous and the men really smart.
"What a great way to finish the series and what a great way to celebrate Ararat's success in changing the health of the town."
The event was hosted by Hayley Lewis, with all three resident trainers attending, Michelle Bridges, Shannan Ponton and The Commando.
Previous series winners and contestants also attended the event.
The program is expected to screen on Channel 10 in 2014.
