The Guild in conjunction with the Ararat Regional Art Gallery, has been running the Needles and Pins classes for young enthusiasts for the past four years, with youngsters aged from eight to 12 years taking part in monthly embroidery and sewing classes.
One of the young founding members of the group is still coming to classes now, which Guild member Susan Elletson said is pleasing.
"It is nice to see the progression of her skills, from where she started to what she can do today," Ms Elletson said.
Over the years the group has learnt embroidery and sewing sills, made needle cases, fabric books embellished with stitches and a variety of other projects.
Embroiderers who have had years of experience will be showing off their skills at the Golden Threads in the Red Temple exhibition at Gum San Chinese Heritage Centre from October 18 to 20.
On show will be quilts, knitting, crochet, hardanger, canvas work, felting and all forms of embroidery.
The raffle of a stunning quilt will also be a highlight of the exhibition, with tickets now on sale at Gilbert and Jury in Barky Street Ararat.
