ARARAT – Police are investigating two instances of criminal damage and an unrelated theft that have occurred in the last few weeks.
The ﬁrst damage occurred at the premises of the ANZ Bank in Barkly Street sometime between August 16 and 20.
The door to a cleaners/storage room was punched and kicked with $500 worth of damage caused.
It is unknown whether the offender was trying to gain access to the bank, but no entry was gained.
In the second incident criminal damage was inﬂicted at a property in Brewster Road North on August 25.
Outside furniture along with personal items and two colourbond fences were sprayed with yellow grafﬁti.
The cost of the damage and clean up required is estimated at $200.
Ararat Police are also wishing to speak with anyone who may have witnessed a theft in Smith Street.
A flat screen television and a tool box were taken from a residence sometime between August 22 and August 25.
Police also want to speak with anyone who may have seen a green two door Hyandai Excel in the area between Friday August 23 and Saturday, August 24 which may be connected to the incident.
