Ararat - The story Gadsby (written by Ernest Vincent Wright) may contain no Es, but Last Knight's Story (written by John Mawson and Rob Smith, with songs by D. Moore) has them all, especially in Ararat Primary School's latest production.
The Es of course are Energy, Excitement, Exuberance, Enthusiasm, Exemplary teamwork and the list goes on.
There will be two public performances of Last Knight's Story and it will be staged at the Ararat Performing Arts Centre this Thursday, August 29 and Friday, August 30, with a start time of 7.30pm.
This production stars students from years five and six at Ararat 800 and it is being directed by Darren Beer, with assistance from Tammie Meehan and with choreography by Hayley Wilson.
The Wicked Witch feels that her powers are under threat so she sends a black dragon to kill off all the teenaged girls in the Kingdom of Clod.
The King and Queen of Clod don't really care about all this and seem to be far more interested in their beach house.
The last knight, Sir Gary, is summoned to dispatch the dragon - with the prize being the Princess - but it transpires that the last knight is not all that brave.
There are talking horses, a magician who can't seem to get things just right, some great songs and so many awful puns that you will be laughing as well as moaning.
Last Knight's Story is a colourful and Engaging - another E - show and it's obvious that everyone onstage is having heaps of fun.
This is a show you should not miss so Keep Calm and Love Clod and get your tickets early.
