WILLAURA - The Willaura Market is on this Sunday in the grounds of Willaura Health Care.
The market has added more stalls and with more entertainment and a selection of foods to choose from it is sure to be a great day out.
Nick Bush, East Grampians Health Service chief executive officer said the event continues to prove popular with locals and those in the surrounding area.
"This year is the ninth year of the market and will have a special performance by local band SOFT, with performers Ruth and Ziggy Strauga, both staff members of the Health Service, will be sure to keep the crowd entertained with their vast range of music," he said.
The market has more than 30 stalls this year, with a wide range of goods for sale including fudge, freshly made ice-cream, plants, clothing, fresh produce, art and craft, homemade candles and jewellery.
Children's entertainment will also be on offer ranging from music, jumping castle and circus acts.
Candle maker Gerard Bunter, who moved to Willaura three years ago after giving up the cosmopolitan lifestyle as a designer in Melbourne, will feature some of his works.
"I was looking for a lifestyle change and to get out of the hustle and bustle of a busy city life and for some reason I was drawn to the small community of Willaura," Mr Bunter said.
"I have a real passion for candle making, the candles I make are 100 per cent soy and I have over 25 different fragrances to choose from, such as sweet pea and vanilla, frangipani, cedar forest, lemon and ginger just to name a few. These soy candles make great gifts for friends and loved ones.
"I just love the Willaura Market, I attend lots of markets around the region, but the Willaura market is my favourite."
An art exhibition by the Kelly Gang will also be a draw card and a raffle for two night's accommodation at the prestigious Pinnacle Lodge in Halls Gap will be up for grabs.
The market runs from 10am to 2pm on Sunday.
