ARARAT - Tragedy can strike at any time and for a Wickliffe family, tragedy has struck twice in the last year.
First this family lost a beloved son and now the home in which they were living has been destroyed by fire, taking with it most of their possessions and leaving them homeless.
The Wickliffe and Lake Bolac communities have rallied behind the family and have launched an appeal to assist them.
A home, household goods, clothing, school uniforms and toys are required to help get this family back on its feet and tomorrow during the Australia Day celebrations in Alexandra Gardens the Rotary Club of Ararat will have a trailer so that Ararat families can assist.
Everyone has some clothes they no longer need, some tinned food in the cupboard and some toys the kids don't need any more.
Tomorrow, bring it along to Alexandra Gardens and load it in the trailer.
