GCA - Can Tatyoon bring Swifts/Great Western's winning run to an end?
That is the question everyone will be asking ahead of the final day of the Grampians Cricket Association A grade clash tomorrow.
The focus will be squarely on the Combine batsmen to see how they respond from the total of 321 runs set by Tatyoon on day one.
Swifts/Great Western is currently sitting at 0/5 and resuming the run chase is James Devery (1 not out) and Sam Cocks (3).
Both players will be looking to continue their good form and make quick, early runs and ease the pressure on the Combine middle order.
Looking down the list, there are some handy batsmen with Travis Nicholson, Jackson Dark and Nic Clough to come.
However a challenge does lie ahead for the Combine, who have yet to be tested after nine rounds of competition and it won't be particularly easy for their batsmen up against Tatyoon's premier bowlers John Coghlan, Tim McDougall, Jarred Blandford and Ash Maconachie.
Tatyoon will definitely be looking to snatch first innings points against its arch rivals and a win tomorrow will boost the team's confidence ahead of this year's finals' series.
Youth Club brushed Buangor aside with ease last weekend and should be aiming for maximum points when day two gets underway tomorrow.
The Clubbers showed Buangor who was boss, removing the visitors for 94 runs in their first innings.
Marcus Marrow remains unbeaten on 65 runs and will be joined at the crease by Koby Stewart, with the Clubbers resuming on 4/178.
It is likely Youth Club will declare early, sending Buangor batsmen back in to battle against Jamie Solyom, Steve Le Gassick, Cam Kimber and Angus Barham.
Buangor failed to make an impact on the scoreboard last week and its top order must fire tomorrow if it has any hope of avoiding an outright defeat.
Last week, it was left to the lower order batsmen to make double figures so it will be vital for Jack Fraser, Tyson Carr, Harry Ganley and Shaun Allen to hit the ground running early to win back some pride for the fourth placed Buangor outfit.
Although if Le Gassick and Barham have a repeat performance of last week with the ball, Youth Club should have no problem claiming maximum points.
St Andrews face a tough run chase after being set 235 by Aradale.
With opening batsman Bart Wilson back in the sheds, the Saints will resume their innings at 1/6.
If they are to make the required runs, it must be a team effort with Tom Schwab, Jacob Bates and Eric Wilson to step up and take control at the top, with support to come from middle order batsmen James Laidlaw and James Hosking.
Aradale is desperately searching for its second win for the season and it will be up to bowlers John Butler, Matthew Baldock, Brent Tate and Ryan Bertram to chip in and make this happen.
