ARARAT - Ararat Harness Racing Club presents a top class racing night tomorrow and with more than 130 nominations for the meeting a good eight race night has been received by the club.
A fundrasing night held in conjunction with the Team TnT for Thomas and Tayla Sladdin, who suffer from Cystic Fibrosis will ensure a great night out.
A gold coin donation upon entry will see patrons and families attending for what will be a great evening of racing and family entertainment.
Race one sees the Team TnT three-year-old pace with a very even field, with the DM Lewis-trained Twentyfivetolife driven by Matt Craven being hard to beat.
Race two, the AHRC volunteers pace, has a full field picked in ascending points order and is a hard race to pick.
Heza Chipoftheblock NZ trained by Bob Mahnche and driven by Greg Sugars should be a good each way bet.
Race three Ararat Trotting Cup 6th April Trotters Handicap has many chances. If the trotters are on their best behaviour Jarvsofaks NZ, driven by local trainer Kerryn Manning should prove hard to beat.
The fourth race on the card, Ararat Cup Saturday 6th April Pace, is likely to see Scully Magic and Mister Seelster prominent in the finish.
Race five is the Collins Family Pace, a C1 event, and is a very even affair with many chances.
Trysomemagic trained by Ballarat Harness Club president Greg Moy has had success on the Ararat Trace before and may once again.
The Alayna and Lily Pitcher Pace is a C2-C3 event and should see Matthew Craven's Whata Punt, winner of its last four starts, and Manning's The Noble Stead fighting out the finish.
Race seven, the Tayla and Thomas Pace is a very good field and has many chances including the Lewis-trained Amajorjo driven by Craven. Also sure to be in the finish is Torque Artraction and Princeofthieves.
The final race of the night, the Colonial Lodge Motel 3YO Trot should see Bellmac Kody driven by leading driver Chris Alford salute in what should be the end of a great night's racing.
The committee and I ask that all come along to this fundraising night with Team TnT to support the local two kids that the money raised will help.
The AHRC and Team TnT are proud to be involved in this venture that may help in Tayla and Thomas' future.
