ARARAT - To see how the people of Ararat lived in 'the olden days' head to Langi Morgala Museum to view the exhibitions.
Volunteers at the museum have recently made over the washroom and parlour displays.
The washroom was totally revamped, with new shelving being made to house the large flat iron collection, while the parlour was given a less dramatic make-over, with cleaning and polishing, and the repositioning of the furniture giving a less cluttered look. The future addition of a mannequin sat at the table will add to the overall appearance.
The room displays are just a small part of the huge collection of historic items on display at the museum, easily a place to while away an afternoon during the school holidays for the whole family.
The museum is open to the public from Tuesdays to Thursdays from 10am to 3pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm to 4pm.
All are welcome to call in, step back in time and learn a little about Ararat's history.
