ARARAT - Australia's leading thoroughbred trainer, Peter Moody will be a major draw card at Ararat Harness Racing Club's next meeting on Tuesday night.
Peter is the trainer of champion sprinter Black Caviar, possibly Australia's best ever race horse, as well as a large number of group and listed race winners.
Peter has a close connection with the Ararat Harness Racing Club through vice president Milton McKinnis, who is a long-standing friend and acquaintance of the highly successful trainer.
The committee of the Ararat Harness Racing Club is delighted to know that Peter is attending the harness meeting.
The club is hoping that Peter's attendance will encourage a large number of patrons to come along and take the opportunity to meet with Peter and discuss the future plans of the gifted mare.
Those who follow the gallops will be aware of the recent success Peter has enjoyed with Black Caviar, winner of all her 17 starts, and his very pleasing night at Moonee Valley last Friday night where he had three winners including Black Caviar and two other horses - One of which won its fifth on end and the other a winner of its last three races.
One of Tuesday night's feature races will be the Peter Moody Racing Pace, which will carry an inscribed rug sponsored by Moody Racing.
Peter will present the rug to the winning connections.
The meeting has a number of attractions with heats of the prestigious Tontine Series being run together with heats of the Victoria's Harness Racing Sport Club Provincial Cup and the Harness Breeders Victoria Pace, which carries an additional $500 prize money donated by the Harness Breeders of Victoria.
Patrons will be assured of a great night's racing on Tuesday as well as having the unique opportunity to meet with world-class trainer Peter Moody.
