Cyclist lent helping hand

02 Feb, 2010 09:26 AM
ARARAT - Ararat and District Cycling Club member Jaron Gardiner has received assistance from the club to compete in the 2010 Australian Track Cycling championships.

Ian Notting presented Gardiner with a cheque on behalf of the club during last Friday night's racing at the Ararat velodrome.

The donation will assist Gardiner with his expenses when he represents the state as part of the Victorian Track Cycling team.

Gardiner was included in 2009's Victorian Junior Track Cycling team and this year has been selected in the under 19 men's division.
