Cortney wins selection

04 Aug, 2009 09:26 AM
ARARAT - Marian College's Cortney Williamson has been selected in the Victorian Secondary Schools' Sports Association Girls' 18 and Under Basketball team.

Cortney made the cut after catching the eyes of Victorian Basketball team selectors.

Cortney will join her teammates in training sessions and a series of practice matches before competing in the School Sport Australia Event in Newcastle, NSW.

The five day event takes place later this month.

A number of students involved in School Sport Australia events go on to play basketball at higher levels, with many past members of the Victorian basketball team going on to senior representation.
