ARARAT - Aspiring young visual artists can experience the thrill of exhibiting in a professional public gallery environment when Ararat Regional Art Gallery hosts its 2010 VCE Graduate Exhibition early next year.
VCE art and graphics students from across the Grampians Pyrenees are now being invited to submit their best art work for inclusion in the exhibition, which will run from January 21 to February 21.
Gallery director Anthony Camm said the 2009 VCE Graduate Exhibition held earlier this year featured impressive artworks covering a range of mediums including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, ceramics and textiles.
Participating artists were graduates from Ararat Community College, Marian College, St Arnaud Secondary College and Stawell Secondary College.
''Whether you're a painter, sculptor, filmmaker, printmaker, graphic designer or an installation artist, this is your chance to showcase your achievements as a VCE graduate while having a taste of exhibiting in a public gallery,'' said Mr Camm.
''The VCE Graduate Exhibition also presents an important opportunity for the community to celebrate the achievements of regional young people involved in the visual arts.''
Students can obtain application forms from their art teachers or directly from Ararat Regional Art Gallery. Submissions strictly close Friday, November 27 at 5pm.
