REGION - Locals are being urged to dig out their dress or tie, shine up their dancing shoes and get ready for a night like never before, at the Raising Dust Gala Ball.
The ball is being held at the Tatyoon Hall on July 4 and will be the second event of its type for the group.
Raising Dust, a network for young people aged 18-40 living and working in the Wimmera and Western districts, kicked off with its inaugural gala ball at Seppelt Winery, Great Western in 2007.
President of the group, Kelly Gibson, said hype had been building for the upcoming event for some time.
''Our first ball back in 2007 was a huge success and we've had a lot of interest in the next one since then,'' she said.
''We're hoping to get 200 people along to make it a really great night out. We've got top music with Doin' Time and Drew Sutherland performing, fabulous local food and wine, and of course, great company.''
The ball will provide young people throughout the region with a chance to meet other like-minded people from rural areas.
It is also a good opportunity to reconnect with old mates and in general, have a fabulous time.
It is expected that tickets will sell out fast, so people are being encouraged to get in quick and secure their place.
Tickets are $75 for Raising Dust members and $85 for non-members.
The dress code for the evening is cocktail with a hint of red, white or blue to incorporate the Independence Day theme.
Buses will run to and from the venue, from Horsham and Hamilton, with stops along the way in accordance with demand.
