Groups receive RSL grants

ARARAT - The Ararat RSL has distributed almost $10,000 in RSL Community Grants to organisations within Ararat Rural City.

Presentations were made to representatives of each group at a special ceremony at the Ararat RSL, hosted by president Frank Neulist.

The Ararat Community Grants for 2009 were distributed as follows: Ararat and District Junior Football Association Inc $791.34; Ararat Little Athletics Club 51 $1000; St Andrews Kindergarten $224; St Andrews Cricket Club Inc $1000; Ararat and District Historical Society Inc $854; Ararat Eisteddfod Inc $1000; Ararat VRI Indoor Bias Bowls Club $410; Alexandra Croquet Club $500; Streatham and District Historical Society $500; Willaura and District Historical Society Inc $500; Ararat Auskick $500; Ararat Respiratory Support Group $600; Ararat City Band Inc $1000; Breast Cancer Committee $500.
