Farm visit for ladies

27/05/2008 11:34:00 AM
ARARAT - Members of the Ladies' Social Bike Group enjoyed a change of pace when they travelled out to the property of Maureen and Rod Smart.

Maureen Smart is a member of the group and suggested it would be good to take a hike as a change from the usual bike ride and experience some of the wonderful views from their property at Langi Logan.

The ladies drove out in convoy and in a fresh wind, hiked more than a kilometre around the property chatting, checking dams and taking photographs.

A highlight was the spectacular panoramic views of the Grampians and surrounds.

Following the hike, the group were treated to morning tea provided by Maureen and Rod in their shearing shed before heading home again to Ararat.
