Big crowds expected at Willaura Market

21 Feb, 2012 12:00 AM
WILLAURA - The Willaura Health Care Auxiliary Market is expected to draw a large crowd at this year's annual market which is to be held at East Grampians Health Service Willaura Healthcare grounds on March 4.

The market, which raises funds for Willaura Healthcare, has added more stalls, more entertainment and a bigger array of food stalls. This market can't be missed, and is a great day out, with scrumptious food, lively entertainment and great market stalls.

"This is our eighth market and it looks like being another exciting day judging by last year's success and the interest this year," market co-ordinator Jane Millear said.

"We have a special performance by local band - SOFT. Ruth and Ziggy Strauja are sure to keep the crowd entertained with their vast array of music."

Mrs Millear said that the market will offer over 30 stalls with a wide range of goods to sell, from fudge and ice-creams to plants for the garden, clothing, fresh produce, art and craft, and jewellery.

"There will also be a good selection of food, good coffee, cakes and wine tasting. There will be entertainment for the children which include face painting treasure hunt, music, jumping castle and circus acts.

"Come and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere in this lovely tranquil location and catch up with friends and keep an eye out for an art exhibition by the Kelly Gang."

A raffle will be drawn at the close of the day, with the main prize being accommodation at the prestigious Mafeking Farm which has impressive views of the Grampians mountain range.

The market runs from 10am and concludes at 2pm and all are welcome to attend
