The cardiac and vascular catheter laboratory helps the people living in Ballarat and surrounding regional areas with diagnosis and treatment of heart, stroke and vascular disease.
The Emergency Department is a purpose built facility with 13 treatment bays for the management of acute illness and injury and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Emergency Department is able to cater for most emergency and trauma situations including cardiac care. We exceed best practice for time from diagnosis to catheter laboratory treatment.
The hospital has a long history of providing excellence in orthopaedic services. We can perform minor and complex surgery on shoulder, elbow, hand / wrist, hip, knee, foot and ankle joints. Procedures range from arthroscopies of joints to full joint replacements, from day surgery procedures to longer stays depending on the complexity of your surgery
The Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit provides cardiac, reconditioning, orthopaedic programs and therapy facilities, including a hydrotherapy pool.
The unit builds on and complements existing clinical services within the hospital.
It provides patients with a tailored program of care designed to assist them achieve maximum independence and potential so they can return to
the community with renewed confidence and hope.
The Outpatient Rehabilitation Unit provides a multidisciplinary service to help promote and maintain functional independence following cardiac, orthopaedic and joint surgery, stroke, and the resultant loss of condition that may accompany medical or surgical conditions.
The multidisciplinary team comprises a rehabilitation physician, exercise physiologists, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, rehabilitation nurse, oncology rehabilitation nurse, speech therapist, dietician, and psychologist.
Day Stay Services
Our day services offer the highest quality specialised care including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy and chemotherapy.
There are no waiting lists and a full complement of hospital services is available if required.
Accommodation in Rotary House onsite is available for patients and family travelling from regional areas.
Our Maternity Unit provides inclusive compassionate health care, and a wide range of excellent support services.
Women and babies are cared for by our dedicated midwives, obstetricians and pediatricians and provide family centered care to meet individual needs.
Prospective parents are welcome to tour all areas of the maternity ward, where they can meet our team and view the hospital’s modern facilities.
Our antenatal midwife will discuss the parents needs, offer childbirth and parenting education classes and answer all your questions and provide a free birth information kit.
