While the photos are of a high standard they would be much more interesting if these links included the caption which ran with them in the paper, and even more instructive. If the photographer included something about the shot, lens setting, what he or she was aiming for when the photo was taken. Think Newcastle Herald with a little extra effort this section could become an opportunity for good photographers to lead young aspiring photographers by example into a world of photo journalism.
